Interpreting DarkINT Exposure Score Results

DarkINT scores are the first metric to measure an organization based purely on dark web intelligence. Increasing scores may correlate to heightened risk profiles. Changes in scores over time indicate progress in hardening security or alert to the potential presence of breaches or data leaks.

Scores are: Scores are NOT:
  • A point-in-time snapshot
  • An assessment of hackish data accessible
  • A "risk of breach"
  • Indicative of ALL risks facing a group

  • The resulting numerical score is mathematically logarithmic, meaning the darknet exposure an organization increases exponentially with every increasing score point.
  • Organization size (by revenue), employee count, and industry may affect potential exposure on the darknet. Comparing an organization’s score with other industry peers can provide context in relation to the overall market.
  • Scores are useful for monitoring your organization’s darknet exposure, as well as exposure of vendors with whom you work and may have access to your confidential data, leaving you inadvertently exposed outside your organization’s security posture.
