Vendor Context

Vendor Context is an enrichment option in the Research: Markets section that can help you quickly assess a vendor’s scale, longevity, activity patterns, and potential risk level. Instead of navigating across multiple results or markets, Vendor Context surfaces a concise vendor footprint in one click.
 
This feature is available from any listing associated with a vendor username, by clicking the Vendor Context button on the right panel of the result.
 
 
 
 

What Vendor Context Shows You

Vendor Context is based on analysis of DarkOwl's enhanced market dataset within its DarkMart data store. It includes the following information:

  • Total Markets: the number of markets on which the vendor has been observed.

  • Total Listings: the number of unique listings across all markets.

  • First and Last Listings: the earliest and latest new listing advertised by the vendor.

  • Top Market Appearances: the markets where the vendor has the most listings, by volume. Up to five markets will be shown in this section.

  • Top Shipping Sources: the top location(s) from which the vendor ships, by volume. Up to five locations will be shown in this section. If the vendor does not include shipping sources on listings, no known shipping sources will be displayed.

  • Most Recent Listings: the vendor's most recent new listings, across all of their market activity. Up to five listings will be shown in this section.
